Concrete Reflections offers beautifully ground and polished medium aggregate concrete finishes. A step between salt and pepper finish and a terrazzo-like finish, medium aggregate concrete finish offers a beautiful, smooth and unique flooring option.

Medium Aggregate Finish

To achieve a medium aggregate concrete finish – also called a semi-polished concrete finish – the concrete is cleaned and heavily ground to a depth of 1/8 inch, exposing medium aggregate in the concrete.
While this finish typically reveals the most significant amount of medium aggregate in the concrete floor, there may be some large aggregate exposure in random locations. A medium aggregate finish carries the Class C aggregate exposure designation.

Benefits:

• Highly durable
• Desirable appearance
• Used in new pours and renovations As more aggregate is exposed, the process does come with a higher cost and a longer installation time.

Concrete Finish Options

Concrete is a combination of cement and aggregate materials. Aggregates are typically harder than cement to improve wear, and the job location determines the type used varying from granite to limestone. The Concrete Polishing Council classifies aggregate exposure from A to D, and the amount of exposed aggregate increases as letters change.
Possible Concrete finishes include: • Class A: Cream Finish
• Class B: Salt and Pepper Finish
• Class C: Medium Aggregate
• Class D: Large Aggregate
